Apostille for Greek and foreign documents
An Apostille certifies that a public document is authentic so that it is accepted in every country party to the Hague Convention. We handle the whole procedure for you.
An Apostille certifies the authenticity of the signature and the capacity of the official who issued a public document. With it, the document is accepted in all countries that have joined the 1961 Hague Convention without any further consular legalization.
The Apostille is issued by the competent authority of the country that issued the document. In Greece, depending on the type of document, this is as a rule the Decentralised Administration for administrative documents and the judicial authorities for court and notarial documents. We identify the competent office, file and collect on your behalf.
For foreign documents to be used in Greece, we coordinate the Apostille in the country of origin through our international network and then deliver the certified Greek translation — in the right order, so you never have to start over.

Frequently asked questions
Apostille first or translation first?
Usually the Apostille is placed on the original document before translation, so that the Apostille itself is translated too. Some countries additionally require the translation to be certified. We guide you according to the destination country.
What if the destination country is not party to the Hague Convention?
Then an Apostille is not sufficient and consular legalization through the ministry and the embassy or consulate is required. We handle that procedure as well.
Can an Apostille be placed on a simple photocopy?
Not on a simple photocopy. In many cases, however, it can be placed on a copy certified by a notary. We check what applies to your document.
